Hubballi Gokul Road Police Rescue Abducted 2-Year-Old Boy

Hubballi: The Gokul Road police have successfully rescued a 2-year-old boy who was abducted from the Kenchanahalli police station limits in Kolar district and subsequently abandoned at the Gokul Road bus stand here on Monday.

According to the police, Head Constable IS Melinamani, attached to the Gokul Road police station, was on morning beat duty on Monday when he noticed the young boy wandering alone on the bus stand premises, crying. The observant head constable realized that the child was unaccompanied by parents or guardians and suspected that he had been left at the bus stand by someone.

Taking immediate action, the head constable rescued the boy, provided him with care and nourishment, and later initiated an inquiry. It was soon discovered that the boy had been abducted from Kolar district, leading to a case of abduction being registered at the Kenchanhalli police station. The Gokul Road police promptly informed the authorities that the boy had been successfully rescued and was safe.

Subsequently, the child was handed over to the custody of officials from the Women and Child Welfare Committee.

Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar commended Head Constable IS Melinamani for his humanitarian efforts and unwavering dedication to duty. The Gokul Road police were also recognized for their commendable work in swiftly locating the whereabouts of the abducted boy.
